Aijah Hickey Named to Active Minds at Alvernia University

Aijah Hickey, a resident of West Grove, Pa., participated as a member of the Alvernia's Active Minds club in the spring of 2016, while studying Psychology. Hickey is a graduate of Avon Grove High School.

The purpose of Active Minds is to break the silence regarding mental health disorders. Club members hope to stop stigmas surrounding mental health, promote truth, help people to speak up and know they are not alone. Active Minds is not a support group, but members can listen, learn, and guide those in need of additional support to appropriate professionals.
