Albert L. Hawkins, Jr. of Philadelphia, Pa., Philadelphia County, will receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Behavioral Health from Alvernia University. Hawkins studied at the university's Philadelphia Center. Hawkins has been asked to lead students in an Invocation during commencement.

Alvernia's graduation ceremonies on December 16, 2012 include Baccalaureate Mass (10:30 a.m.) and commencement (1 p.m.) both held in the Physical Education Center on Main Campus. Commencement speaker Dr. Melissa Jamula will receive an honorary degree of humane letters before addressing students.
