Alex Roché performs in Alvernia University's Christmas Concert

2014 Dec 10

Led by Professor Jennifer Michalik and accompanied by several faculty members and alumni, 49 Alvernia students performed in the university's 2014 Christmas Concert. Alex Roché, a Forensics and Biochemistry major from Shillington, Pa., sang Tenor and played the Trumpet for the concert.

The annual Christmas Concert has been a much-cherished tradition for generations at Alvernia and rings in the Advent and Christmas seasons. The group offered two free showings in Francis Hall Theater. The university's Fine and Performing Arts department encourages the creative and analytical skills and ideas necessary for developing individually and integrating contributions in a complex world.

The concert venue - Francis Hall - is the historical landmark of the university, renovated in 2010 to include a new entryway and foyer that provides access to the Theater and Recital Hall, as well as a new art gallery, music studios, and recital spaces, making it a hub for the community and students of the fine and performing arts programs.
