Arturo Herrera Earns Scholarship to Alvernia University

Hard work in high school has paid off for college-bound seniors. Arturo Herrera, of Reading, Pa., has been granted the Trustees' Scholarship to study Criminal Justice at Alvernia University in the fall. Herrera is currently a senior at Reading Senior High School.

To be awarded this $15,500 scholarship, the recipient must have a minimum GPA of 3.2 and minimum SAT score* of 1050 SAT old/1130 new (or 23 ACT). * "Old" SAT scores are calculated using combined Critical Reading and Math sections. "New" SAT Scores are based on the Math and Evidence-Based Reading & Writing sections. Students are eligible for only one merit scholarship.
