Briana Pearson Served as Science Camp Volunteer at Alvernia University

Briana Pearson, of Mount Bethel, Pa., served as a volunteer for the free, week-long Carpenter Science Institute camp this summer at Alvernia University. Pearson, is a Forensic Science major at Alvernia University.

Led by Alvernia faculty and a team of Carpenter scientists, volunteers organized 150 7th-9th grade students though science activities and field trips to the Environmental Exploration Center at Angelica Park and the Franklin Institute.

The camp provided hands-on educational activities and coursework in physics, engineering, chemistry and ecology.
