Carmela Barbara Watson Earns Advanced Degree From Alvernia University

Carmela Barbara Watson of Philadelphia, Pa., Philadelphia County, will receive a Master of Arts Degree with a focus in Liberal Studies from Alvernia University. Watson studied at the university's Philadelphia Center. In addition, Watson received the university's Academic Excellence and Civic Engagement Award.

Alvernia's graduation ceremonies on May 11, 2013 include Baccalaureate Mass (10:30 a.m.) on main campus, and commencement (2 p.m.) at the Sovereign Center, Reading, Pa. Commencement speaker Dr. Beverly Malone will receive an honorary degree of humane letters before addressing students.
