Christanna Brown Competes on Alvernia University's Indoor Track & Field Team

Christanna Brown of Elkton, Md. is competing as a member of the Crusaders' Indoor Track & Field team for the winter 2014-15 season. A graduate of Elkton High School Brown is a Social Work major at Alvernia University.

Alvernia is an active member of the Middle Atlantic Conference's (MAC) - Commonwealth Conference, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and the NCAA. Winter athletics teams include ice hockey, indoor track & field, and men's and women's basketball.

The MAC was founded in 1912 and currently consists of 18 member institutions including Albright, Alvernia, Arcadia, Delaware Valley, DeSales, Eastern, Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham, Hood, King's, Lebanon Valley, Lycoming, Manhattanville, Messiah, Misericordia, Stevenson, Widener, and Wilkes. The MAC boasts 20 NCAA National Champions in a variety of sports over its 95-year existence.
