Claire Sutliff Competes on Women's Indoor Track and Field Team at Alvernia

Claire Sutliff of West Lawn, Pa., competed as a member of the Women's Indoor Track and Field team for the spring 2015 season. Sutliff is majoring in Occupational Therapy at Alvernia University and is a graduate of Wilson High School.

Team members of the Crusaders indoor track and field team locked in 10 men's top-ten performances and 16 women's top-ten performances in the MAC Indoor Championship this spring. Named MAC Track Athlete of the Year, Alvernia's Heather Wanner set five program records at the MAC Championships.

Alvernia is an active member of the Middle Atlantic Conference's (MAC) - Commonwealth Conference, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and the NCAA.

The MAC was founded in 1912 and currently consists of 17 member institutions including Albright, Alvernia, Arcadia, Delaware Valley, DeSales, Eastern, Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham, Hood, King's, Lebanon Valley, Lycoming, Manhattanville, Messiah, Misericordia, Stevenson, Widener, and Wilkes. The MAC boasts more than 20 NCAA National Champions in a variety of sports over its 95-year existence.
