Danielle Motze Named to Adventure Club at Alvernia University

2013 Mar 27

Danielle Motze, a resident of Mount Penn, Pa., was named a member of the university's Adventure Club in spring 2013. Motze is a Social Work major at Alvernia, and a graduate of Antietam High School.

In the Adventure Club at Alvernia, there is an enjoyable experience waiting for anyone who enjoys the outdoors or just going for a walk. The Club hosts two hikes a month, one at a novice level and one at an advanced level. Hikes are to places of local natural beauty, such as Neversink Mountain or Nolde Forest, as well as the Schuylkyll River trail right outside of campus. Throughout the semester, the club hopes to enrich the college experience and expand the student's appreciation of the natural wonders that lie just outside Alvernia's borders.

ALVERNIA is a fast growing Franciscan university, grounded in the Catholic and liberal arts traditions, that combines diverse academic opportunities with personal attention and an unmatched commitment to community service. Situated on a scenic 121-acre suburban campus in historic Berks County, Pa., the university supports a rigorous and caring learning community that is home to more than 3,000 students.
