Deborah Ellen Evans Earns Ph.D. from Alvernia University

Deborah Ellen Evans of Lancaster, Pa., earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Leadership, with a concentration in educational leadership from Alvernia University's School of Graduate and Adult Education, on Main Campus, this spring.

After working with Dissertation Chair Gerald S. Vigna, Ph.D., Evans published a dissertation titled "The Leadership of Reverend John Wesley".

Alvernia's graduation ceremonies on May 14, 2016 included a Baccalaureate Mass and Hooding Ceremony on Main Campus, followed by Commencement at Santander Arena. Sister Marilisa daSilva, OSF was given an honorary degree during the ceremony. Retiring professor Dr. Richard Law offered remarks, and Bachelor of Arts graduate Alex Harris gave a student address.
