Emily Reed Making a Difference Through Alternative Break Program

Emily Reed, of Akron, Pa., is spending spring break working to help others in Camden, N.J., through an Alvernia University 'Alternative Break' program. Reed, is a freshman Social Work major at the University.
At the Romero Center in Camden, N.J., students will take part in an urban, service-learning, immersion experience that offers a point of access to the lives and stories of the people of Camden and its surrounding communities. This trip is a unique educational and retreat opportunity.
