James Wyatt Earns Placement in Competitive Choral Festival

2015 Nov 10

James Wyatt of Landsdowne, Pa., was one of four Alvernia students to earn placement and participate in the Pennsylvania Collegiate Chorus Association Festival, held Oct. 29-31 at Susquehanna University.

Studying Music Minor and Criminal Justice at Alvernia, Wyatt had to pass a challenging live audition in order to participate, and then rehearsed for about 17 hours over the next two and a half days under the direction of Dr. Eric Nelson, director of choral studies at Emory University.

This year's Festival was held in conjunction with the American Choral Directors Association Pennsylvania Fall Conference. The Festival concert was the conference's culminating event.

ALVERNIA is a thriving university that empowers students through real-world learning to discover their passion for life, while providing the education to turn what they love into lifetimes of career success and personal fulfillment, helping them make the world a better place.
