Jennifer Toledo Selected as a Peer Tutor at Alvernia University

Jennifer Toledo, of Reading , Pa., has been named a tutor by the Academic Success Center of Alvernia University. Toledo, studying for a Master in Education degree at Alvernia, was selected to tutor Math, Spanish and Education for the 2017-18 academic year.

Peer tutors are members of the university's Academic Success Center staff selected on the basis of academic skill, leadership, character and the ability to communicate well with others. They work on a one-on-one basis or in small group sessions to answer questions on course content and to aid in comprehension of course material. Tutors are expected to have extensive knowledge of the subject they are hired to tutor and the ability to communicate that knowledge to their peers. >> Learn More.
