Jocelyn MacAleese Earned Placement in Competitive Choral Festival

2014 Nov 13

Jocelyn MacAleese of Catonsville, Md., was one of six Alvernia students to earn placement and participate in the Pennsylvania Collegiate Chorus Association Festival, held Oct. 30-Nov. 1 at East Stroudsburg University.

A Occupational Therapy major at Alvernia, MacAleese had to pass a challenging live audition in order to participate, and then rehearsed for about 17 hours over the next two and a half days under the direction of Dr. Peter Bagley, professor emeritus, University of Connecticut.

The festival culminated in a concert on Saturday, November 1.

ALVERNIA is a thriving university that empowers students through real-world learning to discover their passion for life, while providing the education to turn what they love into lifetimes of career success and personal fulfillment, helping them make the world a better place.
