Justin Padinske Named to Philosophy Club at Alvernia University

2013 Mar 27

Justin Padinske, a resident of Mohrsville, Pa., was named a member of the university's Philosophy Club in spring 2013. Padinske is a General Science major at Alvernia, and a graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School.

The Philosophy Club at Alvernia University strives to spread awareness of philosophical ideas and concepts throughout the community, while bringing together those interested in discussing and partaking in events that further our knowledge of that field of study. It allows students from many different majors to share their own views/perspectives on philosophical questions and greatly increases their critical thinking skills. Those skills can later be applied to day-to-day situations, difficult problems, as well as aid them within their discipline of study at Alvernia and in the working world of today.

ALVERNIA is a fast growing Franciscan university, grounded in the Catholic and liberal arts traditions, that combines diverse academic opportunities with personal attention and an unmatched commitment to community service. Situated on a scenic 121-acre suburban campus in historic Berks County, Pa., the university supports a rigorous and caring learning community that is home to more than 3,000 students.
