Katlyn Roginsky Helping First-Year Students Adjust to Alvernia University

Katlyn Roginsky, of Bath, PA, is serving as Head Orientation Assistant at Alvernia University for Orientation Weekend, Aug. 21-24, 2014. The weekend is full of events for the incoming Class of 2018. Roginsky is a Biochemistry major at Alvernia and a Bethlehem Catholic High School graduate.

An Orientation Weekend Leader (OWL) or Orientation Assistant (OA) is a current Alvernia University student who plays an integral role in New Student Orientation. The main role of all OWLs and OAs is to assist in making new students feel welcome. OWLs and OAs develop leadership skills and meet new people. The program is competitive, and involves a application process, in-person interviews, good academic standing, and training.
