Kevin Shainline Selected for Assisi Pilgrimage

2014 Jan 8

Alvernia University student Kevin Shainline of Boyertown, Pa., was selected to participate in the Association of Franciscan Colleges and Universities' Franciscan Pilgrimage during winter break. Shainline is a graduate of Pope John Paul II High School.

A junior psychology major at Alvernia, Kevin is a Resident Assistant who also holds a work-study position in the Holleran Center for Community Engagement. He is the founding chapter president of Alpha Phi Omega (APO) on Alvernia’s campus. APO is a student honor society that strives to prepare campus and community leaders through service.

During the pilgrimage, Kevin hopes to walk in St. Francis’ footsteps, as well as see what he learned in his Franciscan Studies course as a reality.
