Marisa Schutz Named to Alvernia University's Cheerleading Squad

Marisa Schutz of Spring Grove, Pa., has been named a member of the Crusaders' Cheerleading squad for the fall of 2015. Schutz is majoring in Political Science at Alvernia University and is a graduate of Spring Grove Area Senior High School.

Alvernia is an active member of the Middle Atlantic Conference's (MAC) - Commonwealth Conference, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and the NCAA.

The MAC was founded in 1912 and currently consists of 17 member institutions including Albright, Alvernia, Arcadia, Delaware Valley, DeSales, Eastern, Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham, Hood, King's, Lebanon Valley, Lycoming, Manhattanville, Messiah, Misericordia, Stevenson, Widener, and Wilkes. The MAC boasts more than 20 NCAA National Champions in a variety of sports over its 95-year existence.
