Mary Ellen Carsey earns advanced degree from Alvernia University

Mary Ellen Carsey of Schuylkill Haven, Pa., Schuylkill County, will receive a Master in Business Administration Degree in Community Service and Economic Leadership from Alvernia University. Carsey studied at the university's Schuylkill Center. Carsey has been invited to deliver a student address before crossing the stage to receive her degree.

Alvernia's graduation ceremonies on December 16, 2012 include Baccalaureate Mass (10:30 a.m.) and commencement (1 p.m.) both held in the Physical Education Center on Main Campus. Commencement speaker Dr. Melissa Jamula will receive an honorary degree of humane letters before addressing students.
