Mikaileigh Baker Participates in Alternative Break Program

Mikaileigh Baker of Covington, Pa., is working to help others in Tennessee, through an Alvernia University Alternative Break program. Baker is studying Communication at the university.

Alvernia's week-long Alternative Break programs are offered over winter break, spring break, and summer. In Tennessee this summer, students repaired trails, planted trees, and handled other construction working alongside the Cherokee people. In Camden, N.J., students took part in a service-learning immersion experience with the Romero Center.
