Robert Waller Attends Sustainable Agriculture Conference

Robert Waller from Center Moriches, N.Y., attended a conference on Sustainable Agriculture, in State College, Feb. 6-7. Waller is a Accounting major at Alvernia.

Led by Dr. Alicia Sprow (sustainable initiatives coordinator) and Americorps PACC-VISTA volunteer Emily Lytle, several Alvernia Univeristy students attended workshops about sustainable agriculture and food access at a conference for the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture this February. Held in State College, Pa., the conference allowed more than 2,000 participants to learn from leading experts in the field.

Alvernia attendees are active in the university's Bog Turtle Creek Farm project.
