Sasha Macht Inducted Into Honor Society at Alvernia University

Sasha Macht, a resident of Reading, Pa., was named a member of the university's chapter of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society in fall 2012. Macht a graduate of Hamburg Area High School is a Nursing major at Alvernia.

The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to improve the health of people worldwide through leadership and scholarship in nursing research, practice, education, and advocacy. Upsilon Zeta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International has the following purposes: to honor superior achievement, recognize and promote the development of leadership qualities, foster high professional standards, encourage creative work, and strengthen commitment to the ideals and purposes of the profession of nursing.
