Stephanie Lee Shimer Graduates from Alvernia University

Stephanie Lee Shimer of Gurnee, Ill., Lake County, will receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology from Alvernia University. Shimer studied at the university's Main Campus. Shimer will sing the National Anthem and Alma Mater during commencement.

Alvernia's graduation ceremonies on December 16, 2012 include Baccalaureate Mass (10:30 a.m.) and commencement (1 p.m.) both held in the Physical Education Center on Main Campus. Commencement speaker Dr. Melissa Jamula will receive an honorary degree of humane letters before addressing students.
