Several Alvernia University students traveled to Washington D.C., this January to prepare for the 45th U.S. Presidential Inauguration. Though a partnership with The Washington Center (TWC), the students are taking part in a two-week Inauguration 2017 Academic Seminar program that began Jan. 9 and culminates with the inauguration ceremony.

And as freshmen volunteers took part in Orientation Day of Service Aug. 19, Reading Mayor Wally Scott proclaimed the day to be "Alvernia University Day" in the city.
