Peer Mentors are high-achieving, upper-division students who act as guides and additional resources for first year students, as they adjust to college life and academic expectations.

Alvernia University offers intramural sports to all students, faculty, and staff. Intramural sports offer opportunities to be involved in a variety of sports in a friendly environment. Five sports are offered throughout the academic year, including Flag Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Whiffleball and Soccer.

Team members of the Alvernia University men's basketball team captured the 2015 Commonwealth Championship title. It was the third straight title for the Crusaders and the fourth in the last five years.

Team members of the Crusaders indoor track and field team locked in 10 men's top-ten performances and 16 women's top-ten performances in the MAC Indoor Championship this spring.

The Alvernia University Dance Team performs at all home games for the men's and women's basketball teams. Their season runs from mid-summer through the spring semester of the school year.

The Crusader Cheerleading team performs during all men's and women's basketball home games, and often travels to away games, as well as participating in community events.

The following students participated in the Veterans Club at Alvernia University during the spring semester of 2015. The club is dedicated to assisting the veteran students of Alvernia transition from service member to student, and to making that transition as smooth as possible while promoting service in the community, service to those still serving as well as those interested in serving.

Team members of the Alvernia University baseball team - the Crusaders - captured the 2015 Commonwealth Championship and made it to the championship game of the NCAA Division III Baseball Mid-Atlantic Regional this spring.

The Social Work Club enhances professional growth in the human service field, promotes a greater understanding of the social work profession, and offers members the opportunity to interact with the community on a regular basis.

Members promote sport and the field of sport management, to support Alvernia student-athletes, to provide educational experiences and career training opportunities, and to embody and advance the mission of Alvernia University.

The following students participated in the Student Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) at Alvernia University during the spring semester of 2015. The purpose of SHRM is to acquaint students seeking careers in management, human resource management or labor relations with current issues and trends in these fields.

The following students participated in the Science Association at Alvernia University during the spring semester of 2015. Club members foster an awareness of the responsibilities and challenges facing the modern scientist.

The following students participated on the Student Athletic Advisory Council (SAAC) at Alvernia University during the spring semester of 2015. Representatives of SAAC meet throughout the year to discuss issues and voice concerns relative to the athletic programs and to participate in leadership activities that will enhance the skills and mentality of leading a team.

The following students participated in the Residence Hall Association at Alvernia University during the spring semester of 2015. Club members are sponsored by the Office of Residence Life, and live in Alvernia University residence halls.
